Heritage capped a comeback win over William Fleming on Friday night, 32-28. Brad Bradley's 100th win as head coach of the Pioneers. After the game, Coach Bradley shared his thoughts, Jamar Lovelace (the head man of William Fleming) gave his feedback, and finally my broadcast partner "Coach Que" Dwayne Hamlette shared his two cents. Heritage hosts Dinwiddie on Friday, while William Fleming hosts Albemarle.

My friend Cam Shepherd & I have several things in commons. Besides our good looks & high intelligence, we are both dad's of daughters. Cam said "Hey, let's start a podcast", so I said, "The Sports Buffet" will be happy to host. Back in the 06-07 High School Basketball Season, I guess I had been poisoned by watching too much TV, and I decided to do the three man booth a lot. Paul Baldwin, was a friend of mine and Kyle Hoehne's, so he joined us (as he wasnt coaching during this season) when Heritage came down for the Pioneers season opener, when they traveled to play Altavista. Coach Baldwin shared his insights with myself & Kyle. It was a fun game to do.

Before Senior Night of 2007-2008, The Brookville Girls Basketball coaching staff talked about the seniors, Brittany Campbell, Joyous Tharrington, Anna Pettyjohn & Nicole Stanley were all important during the program of Brookville Girls Basketball. Head Coach Warner Dyke, as well as his assistants, Heather Brown & Paul Baldwin gave some brief thoughts on the four seniors. In honoring Coach Baldwin (posting old podcasts featuring him), one thing that always stood out to me, was it was always about the program, not just that year's team. Coach Baldwin was always about building up kids, and developing them, not just looking for them to succeed one year, and that is it. We'll miss you Coach Baldwin!

I was looking for some classic interviews with Coach Paul Baldwin (who passed away on 6-14-22). I had forgotten this interview that I had done with Coach Baldwin. We talked about the Central Virginia Coaches Clinic, that he did at Altavista High School. In this, you'll hear about Coach Baldwin talking about the behind the scenes, the set up of the clinic. When I was going back to listen to this, the thing that struck me was Coach Baldwin's heart. He even says there is no unlimited check book, but Coach's heart, well he always wanted to give back.
