Chuck Vipperman, doesn't make his living talking baseball, but like me he enjoys diving into the 70's & 80's of the baseball world (specifically the Detroit Tigers), in this episode, I discuss some Tigers, that you may not remember being there from 1975-1994. There is no "definition  of terms" in The Bandana Express written by Jeremy Haymore. So, I asked him for some single wing terms. What does "Buck Lateral" mean? The hardcores may know the term, but on this podcast, we always try to break it down even more.

Steve Ragsdale didn't invent the single wing, but he picked it up, pretty well, to where other coaches were seeking his opinions on how they could do stuff better. The author of The Bandana Express, Jeremy Haymore took me through that Ragsdale may be on a "Single Wing Mount Rushmore". Book comes out on 7/29.

Steve Lanpher is giving up the head coaching job at Randolph, to become an assistant coach at Cleveland State. Coach Lanpher talked about his time at Randolph, as well as the move to the Horizon league.

I at one point had thought about a podcast episode each week called "Bob and Dad". We did one episode back to 2010. I loved talking sports with my dad. We talked NFL, NBA, MLB on this short lived segment called "Bob and Dad"

The Bandana Express is released on Tuesday (Coach Haymore will be signing books in Lynchburg from 4:30-6:30 at Givens Books), I asked Coach Haymore what's the most interesting fact he discovered while writing "The Bandana Express"

First off to make clear, the book is released TUESDAY the 29th (I think I have been saying Saturday), there will also be a signing at Givens Books 4:30-5:20 on TUESDAY the 29th. In this interview we talked about not only the community in Pearisburg, but the communities where the Spartans would travel to as well.

If you've ever read a book where the book is like a journal form, you'll love The Bandana Express written by Jeremy Haymore. Chapters will detail the walk-up to the game in which that is the feature of that chapter.

I don't have the problem of making tough editorial decisions. Jeremy Haymore did when writing "The Bandana Express", in this interview, he talked about leaving facts out of the book.
